Promoting my company SHU YOGA; a Kemetic (Egyptian) style of yoga with its origins in Africa. My objective is to preserve our history and culture at every opportunity I can. Yoga has become a billion dollar industry but in no way has the African origins of yoga been promoted to those that support this industry. SHU YOGA aims to fill that void and support a growing community of individuals, particularly our black community, who are choosing a healthier lifestyle. Promoting a healthier perspective to ones body and BEING is my ultimate goal.

About Me:

I am a Yoga Instructor specializing in the Art of Kemetic Yoga
(Egyptian Yoga).My company is called SHU YOGA. SHU is kemetic for life force . Practiced exclusively in the royal houses, Kemetic yoga aims to cultivate the relationship to the royalty within.The collective thought in ancient Kemet perceived everything an individual did in life needed to reflect perfection, order and balance. Ancient Kamites believed that unless a person was physically, mentally and spiritually healthy, he/she could not reach the state of perfection which was called MAAT; universal balance, harmony and order. It was thought that if Ma'at didn't exist in the individual, the universe would exist in chaos.
